Why RESOLVE Exists
Peace is the Redirection
of Energy
Football carries immense passion — but that energy, unchecked, can turn into aggression and violence. RESOLVE starts from a different premise: that the same intensity which fuels conflict can be redirected to build community, identity, and pride.
Funded under the Erasmus+ Sport programme (EACEA), the project runs from January 2025 to October 2027. It develops practical tools — a training curriculum, a digital platform, a Train the Trainers programme, and a collection of Digital Stories — that can outlast the project itself and be adopted by organisations across Europe.
The seven consortium partners bring expertise in sport science, education, social empowerment, youth work, and technology — combined to create a genuinely systemic response to football-related violence.
What We Set Out to Do
Project Objectives
01
Develop Conflict Resolution Competencies
Equip coaches, educators, and community leaders with evidence-based conflict resolution methodologies specifically adapted to the football fan environment.
02
Build a Digital Education Platform
Create an accessible, multilingual online platform offering e-learning modules, resources, toolkits, and a community space for sustainable fan education across Europe.
03
Foster Cross-Cultural Dialogue
Connect fans, clubs, and organisations across Cyprus, Greece, Serbia, and Italy to share experiences and build a pan-European culture of peace in football.
04
Promote Inclusion & Diversity
Address root causes of football violence through a social inclusion lens — tackling discrimination and fostering mutual respect among diverse fan communities.
05
Train the Trainers
Develop a certified Train the Trainers programme, launching in 2025/2026, to multiply the impact of RESOLVE competencies through a growing network of certified facilitators.
06
Produce Digital Stories
Co-create authentic digital stories with fans and community members that humanise the issue and demonstrate positive change — spreading the RESOLVE message across the continent.
